I'm looking for ballistic prescription sunglasses. So far I'm inclined to go with either the ESS ICE 2.4 or the UVEX XC. Any ideas? :x:

Don't you guys get a really good discount on Oakleys? Not sure if they come in prescription lenses though.

Edit: I'm pretty sure you're able to get them with a prescription.

Make sure you get a couple different lens setups for changing light conditions.

I have the ESS ICE w/Rx Insert setup and like it really well. I wear them for USPSA comps so I've had a chance to wear them while running and shooting and they stay in place pretty well.

After catching bullet splatter in the face a couple of times I'm glad I made the investment... not that I would have been blinded withouth them or anything but its nice to have the extra coverage and legit impact reistance.

It's good to see someone who wears the Rx inserts that likes them. :bigthumb:

Thanks for everyone's input! I'll probably go with the ESS Ice 2.4. The inserts will fit the sunglasses and also fit the goggles. Good times. :hs:

The Oakleys aren't good for prescriptions. They can accomodate a prescription, but it reduces the ballistic protection:
