I have all these little rust dots on the paint. With a lot of rubbing while washing, they will come off.

    1. Where do they come from? Someone mentioned from the brake pads and when the car is wet it sticks to the paint.

    2. What can I use to get them off more easily?

How bad is it? Is just dust? If it is, you can remove it with a claybar.

basically like dust... just takes a little rubbing to get off. Paint is perfect underneath it. Anything quicker then a clay bar? Someone mentioned to me there was a product out there that kind of cut through it?? *shrug*

Clay bar is the best option. Simply rubbing hard grinds them into the paint. The clay shears it right off.

Where are the spots? That might help diagnose where they are coming from.

Pretty much all the vertical panels on the side and vertical on the rear. I guess i'll wait till the warmer weather and use the clay bar.

Could be brake dust. I had rail dust all over my new car and the only thing that would really get it off was a clay bar. I did this in 30 degree weather. Just do it in your garage or something.

Make sure you wax or seal after claying. Schnoogans.
