I have a 96 Honda Prelude, and for the last year the moon roof started bubbling and rusting..

Is it expensive to get something like this fixed? I would imagine a body shop would sand down the area and fill it with bondo. :dunno:

Am I better of getting a sunroof out of the junkyard and have it painted, or is it possible to fix the sunroof with bondo?

A used moon roof is like $250 out of the junkyard - I think that's a rip off.

I'd get some estimates before buying another moon roof but ultimately, I think the best solution in the long run is to get a rust free moon roof from a wrecking yard (you can bargain on the price, I ended up getting a $100 a/c compressor for $85 at Honda Heaven near me) and having it painted to match your car.
