A friend of mine has a 91 Dakota the paint has peeled away and rust spots have begun to accumulate on the roof of the cab. What is the best method for a fix? I was thinking of sanding down the whole area then applying some metal sealant, then primer the area.
Any products you could recommend or any help I would be great full.
    Thanks

It depends how extensive the rust is, if it's bad a 91 Dakota isn't worth saving.

Otherwise, rub it down with alcohol and use any rust-remover you have available. Then sand until you have good paint all around. Then you can use any sealer, followed by putty, primer, then paint.
