Running XP on a SSD? Would you see significant performance gains?

    Out of my mind, brb never.
    If I had an 8GB SSD to run XP on, with a 500GB standard drive for storage, would I see a significant performance gain for gaming? Booting OS? Is it just not worth it for the price now?

    So from what im reading elsewhere, with the current technology your only seeing random read performance gains. Everything else is the same, if not worse that a mechanical drive. :greddy:

    Unless you get the Mtron ssd's..heard those were better than HD's

    It'll be better on bootup, but it won't make much difference otherwise.
