I've been contemplating getting my nipples pierced; however, I'm afraid that I'll have to put off running for a short while.
I imagine that the friction and bouncing you get from running would cause a lot of pain in newly pierced nipples. Maybe putting something over them, such as bandaids, would help prevent pain and irritation? :hs:

in high school my track uniform would rub your nipples raw.

We fixed it by putting tape over the nipples, felt good as new, then just take the tape off after your run

Should I worry about it interfering with healing?

i wouldnt think it would do anything, unless you are running for HOURS.

if you are running for a mile or two i dont think itll be a problem.

thinking about it, Bandaids would be better, since they can soak up the sweat and what not to keep it out of the peircing

though keep in mind. i have never been peirced, im just thinking logically, which may be illogical :dunno:

So what does offtopic recommend for playing paintball with nipple rings? I'm not talking woodsball I'm talking like NPPL/ PSP/ X-Ball paintball with running and diving and stuff.
And another question: how cmmon is it for nipple rings to migrate completely "out?"

i think from memory i waited for about a week, after that, bandaids might help stop too much rubbing, also you really should be wearing a good sports bra to minimise bouncing (and sagging) ;)

good luck, i dont recall it really hurting me too much :)

I have my nipples pierced and I work out. I got them done about 4 years ago when I didn't work out. I think bandainds could work. IF you're a woman with big breasts...a sports bra AND bandaids?? MOtrin helped me during hte healing process and the saltwater bath that your supposed to clean them with will probably soothe any aches you encounter.

I ran 12.5k on Sunday, and both my pierced nipples are fine.

You'll be fine. Just wear tighter dri-fit type shirts, and it'll be okay.
