Your success will be highly tied to your diet. Swimming or running will do the trick combined with a good diet.

I'm gonna have to go with option 3, biking.
    Why? Its personal preference, but,
    1. Running is hard on the knees on hard surfaces - when you already have fucked up knees, u appreciate how nice it is to have healthy knees.
    2. Supposedly swimming induces fat growth

:werd: all I've heard is that you can get subcutaneous fat growth from cold water. Doesn't mean you'll get fatter, you'll just look smoother.

I've never researched it though so :o

If you do all 4 strokes you work every muscle in your body, and its easy on the joints. I say swim, but do whatever you will be more dedicated to and what will work for you. If running was twice as good as swimming Id still swim just because I don't need to work up motivation to swim, I just love to do it.
