Anyone have any input opinions on Nike Shox? What makes them so popular i know they look more styling than NB and Asics because of the 4 shock absorbers under the shoe.

Terrible Running shoe. Popular because of the brand name and style.

New Balance is good. Wore them for a few years.

Then I moved on to Asics and haven't looked back. I love them and they are crazy comfortable. Asics > *

I've heard good things about Saucony and Brooks as well.

What makes the Shox horrible? Alright, leaning towards New Balances now, just because they look decent enough too.

Bad cushioning. They're too firm for a running shoe.

They give me pain in my shins and the arches of my feet.

Agree with above posts concerning the shox. New Balance makes good running shoes; however, if you want to get down to serious bidness, it's all about the asics.

I use the Nike+. I wanted a pair of new balance but couldn't find them in my size locally. The nikes have been pretty good to me, they handle 5 mile runs no problem and the ipod syncing is helpful for timing. Never got it to work correctly as far as distance and pace.

New balance is definitely legit. I swore by them for a few years. Asics are my bitch tho. You should really try them out. IMO New Balance is made for more off road pounding. If you want pavement running shoes move to Asics.
