my left ankle and foot become numb after about 4 miles of running. it doesn't happen on a treadmill, just with actual running. any of you know what it could be and how i can get rid of it?

    perhaps a circulation problem?

Sounds like hip flexor could be it...to tight. Like you get with anterior pelvic tilt. It could be circulation too, do you have this problem any other time?

it used to happen to me, what type of shoes do you wear? I'd recommend changing them cos my ankle stopped doing it once i changed shoes.

Probably shoes and the surface you're running on.

i've heard of that before and i think it's attributed to flat feet / bad arch support in your shoes.
