    Before I ran into some relationship issues I was running 4.5-7 miles/day and then hitting the gym for 45mins-1.5hrs (depending on the workout). I would do this 5 days a week (if possible).

    There are a lot of people i've talked to that don't recommend it for various reason, but I've always done it because it gets me in great shape health wise and for whatever reason I feel like I'm able to do more in the gym (more reps due to better overall endurance).

    I figure I'd let the F&N scientists give me the run down on the pros/cons, and if its recommended at all health wise. Also, what kind of diet should I be on if i want to bulk out muscle wise but still maintain speed/endurance (p/c/f)?

    I was also thinking about starting up creatine for the first time to help me get some bulk back from not eating. Never used it before and I don't know how it would affect my running seeing as how I normally see it advertised as a short burst workout fuel.

    I'm about 6'2" 150lbs right now (haven't been eating cause of the GF issues) with probably 6% bf -+ 1%. When I was working out a few years ago I was able to hit about 175lbs, just as lean - but I never paid attention to nutrition. Trying to do it right this time around.

    It depends what you're doing in the gym. What kind of routine are you working with in those 45-90 minutes?

    Based upon your stats, I'd say we have similar builds. I'm just shy of 6'2" at 160 lbs.

    Anyway, I'm a runner and the quality of my runs feel like shit the day of or after leg day.

    I think it varies from person to person. I lift ~90 minutes a day then run 1.5 miles afterwards 5 days a week. Im 5'7 173 right now. I feel good after my runs but by the end of the week im fucking tired as shit and irriatated by the slightest thing. I tried running before my workouts but it took too much away from the weights unless I ran first thing in the morning (on an empty stomach) and lifted after work.

    How are you splitting up your running and gym time? different times of day, or all at once?

    Right now i'm running in the morning and gym is in the afternoon, although I don't run on leg days in the gym.

    pros: better overall health
    cons: easy burnout if you don't have the genetics or right eating habits to keep things running

    On my run days, I run only about 2 miles, come back, cool off for 30 mins to an hour, then hit the gym for about 90-120 mins

    depends on the day. my work week is tues - sat. so...

    tues = back (normally throw abs in here)
    wed = chest
    thurs = legs (obviously this would affect the running or visa versa)
    fri = arms
    sat = chest again

    if you're looking for specific routines that'll take some time so i'll have to get to that after class (around 11pm tonight EST).

    normally what i'd do is run right when i wake up (normally with an empty stomach except for a mixture of orange juice/water). then go directly to the gym with only a 20 min subway ride as my break.

    I assume you aren't going very heavy lifting so soon after cardio.
