I need to run a lot, but my legs just can't take it. At school I have to run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I feel great on Monday and I run fast. Tuesday I feel pretty good, but I have to go a little slower because my legs are just sore or hurting. By Thursday I go pretty slow because my legs feel like shit. Then by the time Monday comes around I feel good and that cycle starts over.

Over the summer I've been trying to build up my strength in my legs but they are not getting any better. I tried getting good running shoes and it didn't work. Any suggestions?

How did you go about this? Something like Foot Locker or did you go to a running store and have them help determine what kind of shoe you need?

Ok first don't go all out on monday you have to leave some in the tank. Really good runners still do not completly drain themselves on even their hardest days. Second are you running the same distance or on a track or hills or treadmill? Each workout is going to work you much differently. It is important to have a long day, and a speed day, as well as recovery days where you just run easy to get some miles in and let your legs recover. I know some of this might be pretty basic but just trying to help.

I went to a baller ass shoe store and the dude inspected my feet and watched me walk around the store for a good 30 minutes in like 10 different pairs before he was satisfied. Shit was kinda weird but i've never had shoes feel like the ones i got now.
