Running Crew v. Question about shoes

    I only run about 1 or two miles a few days a week. It's all done on a treadmill. Currently I'm using my normal shoes, which are actually skate shoes. Sometimes my ankles will be sore after running.

    Would a pair of running shoes help? Or wouldn't it be worth it since I only run max two miles at a time?

    What are some names of decent stores that would be able to set me up with a pair of running shoes to match my foot/run pattern?

    I used to run with crappy shoes.
    Killed my feet.
    I looked around here at other threads, and saw that the overwhelming majority of running advice was for the Kayano line by Asics.

    They are the best shoes I've ever owned for training or otherwise and I would buy another pair in a heartbeat, despite the $100+ pricetag.

    Improved my running form (feet used to turn outwards late in a run (45 mins+)) and now my form is completely in-line through an hour or more long run.

    I got the Kayano 12's, I'm sure any asics running shoe is fine.

    I'm only running for 20 minutes MAX per day. Do you feel it would still be worth it?

    You could go with a cheaper pair than the kayano's, however I would not run in skate shoes. You could really mess up your feet/ankles doing that.

    Get a decent pait of New Balance's.
