I think I need better shoes or something. I can barely finish a 3k run but not because I get tired, but because my feet feels so hot that I have to stop and take off my shoes/socks and rest them up.

back when I was a runner the best part about finishing a run was getting to take my shoes off....

it could be the shoes you are wearing are not allowing your feet to breath...

Dr Scholl's has tons of products... check out his site.

I found this there.. haven't used this one in particular, but I have body lotion w/ peppermint oil that I use after showers and it really keeps me cool for a long time.
So don't see why it wouldn't help your feet a lil.

You need a real running shoe thats it.

Most people go out and buy "running" shoes when they are not meant to support a hard run for 5-6 miles or however long you go.

I wear Nike Victory's. Best running shoe I have been in to date.

Yeah, but you don't have GOOD shoes. IMO, Asics are the best. New Balance and Brooks are also good running shoes.

Go to a specialty running store and get fitted if running is important to you.

go to a running shop and get fitted for shoes.
buy a few pair of quality socks.
    run more.
    problem solved.

I just bought a pair of New Balance MR710RY and they are great. Very light and great ventilation.
