She's not ANTI... but she would never go with me to actually shoot. She doesn't care that I have guns, that I carry daily, etc... she just never wanted to. She's agreed to go today.

I'm thinking I'll start her off with either the GSG5 or the 10/22... I wish I still had my P22 for her to shoot...:hsd:

My wife shoots my ar-15 and 9mm just fine. You must have a defective model.

My wife shot fine with my 9mm also, I think she'd be fine on an AR, I want her to shoot Brinkman's Mosin sometime, if she's ok with shooting that, she'll be fine with just about anything.

All things being equal, women are often better shots right out of the gate because they listen to coaching and don't come into the range with bad habits.

This is actually pretty true at least from what I've seen. My wife did extremely well with my 9mm the first time out - I told her how to hold the gun, how to stand (isoceles), how to get a sight picture, and that's pretty much it. her first shot was a barely-off center bullseye at 15 feet. After that she was anticipating recoil, which I told her about squeezing slowly and evenly and keeping sights on target. She was very good right out of the gate.

Women belong in the kitchen, not the range

She can make the sandwich while you finish too, so it's ready to go right away. :h5:

Awesome she went with you, pimp. She doesn't have to agree as long as she understands and if you're going to have guns, it's good (I would dare say mandatory, but that's just my policy) for her to know how to handle them safely in the unfortunate event you are unable to secure them while in her company.

This is my main point. I have a loaded Mossy 500 in the bedroom. She knows what to do in case of an emergency. I've pulled every gun out that I have, stripped them, shown her how they work and what to expect and let her handle them. But she hasn't ever fired anything.

We got to the sportsman's club late, so we couldn't actually shoot, but I'm hoping being around the range helped even a little bit. We're going to actually shoot next week.

She did ask me why my Glock is shaped so uncomfortably :o
