Here we go. It was about 95F air temp and closer to 100F on the track itself. (88% humidity as well). Not very ideal race conditions. EVERYONE was running slow(er) times. I'll try to add in a short description with each link:

You may need the Divx Codec (not sure what it is encoded in).

Here we see an auto Supra lose the 60', but come back for a sound butt kicking. :)

Ruiner kicks some Supra butt off the line, but Doug is able to barely reel him in by the traps. I was running pump gas and he was running race gas. :) So I didn't do so bad considering. We went neck and neck all day. I think he won 3 runs and I won 3 out of 6 total.

Ruiner jumps hard off the line and never looks back. Bye bye BPU Supra. :)

Ruiner lays waste to a single turbo Supra. Single turbo that put down 490rwhp give or take. Strong car. He was pulling 117-123mph traps that day.

A certain Galant rips the sinle turbo Supra a new one.

Not a full video, but Brad pulling away from a loud Civic

Allen gets his revenge for the earlier run. Yeah, well, it IS a single turbo Supra afterall. ;)

    http://ukyo.brianisapimp.com/Movies/SupraSinglevsGalantVR-4.avi
Real close run where the Supra hooks and eeks out a win.

    http://ukyo.brianisapimp.com/Movies/VR-4vsBPUSupra.avi
Napping at the tree... Travis (green VR-4) loses this one on RT alone. He is actually faster by .2, but the Supra has a higher trap speed.

    http://ukyo.brianisapimp.com/Movies/VR-4vsBPUSupra1.avi
Revenge for napping at the tree. This was a legit win. Even trap speeds, but Travis got the ET hands down.

    http://ukyo.brianisapimp.com/Movies/BPUVR-4vsVR-4.avi
And my favorite. :) Ruiner creams Travis off the line and stays ahead all the way to the traps. Eh, so I am a cannibal. :)

Working on getting more up. :)

  2. Nice vids man. Poopy weather though... .I know you're faster than that....

Oh, easily. My fastest of the day was 13.067 @ 106.33mph. Of course, this was my first time ever at the dragstrip. On a cooler day, I do believe that I can hit 12.7s @ 110mph no problem. Turbos (and the intercoolers) hate the heat and I had just made a 2.5hr drive down to the dragstrip. Plus, I was running straight pump gas. I was more concerned with how well I run in 100% street trim rather than fastest possible times.

  4. So these are kinda old videos then? 'cause I remember when you ran that time how hot it was.... 25 degrees cooler will likely get you a solid .2

Yeah, from September of 2001. Just took a while for my friend to get his act together and finally post them. I wasn't taping (else they would have been posted w/in a day). :) My first and only time to the track as of right now.

I didn't flame. Just responded to a remark. :) Hence the *wink*. I actually had a great time at the track. I think that everyone did, actually.

i know, i wasn't referring to you, its just funny how so many people are quick to flame the supra when they don't do so well, i think its kinda funny, because some of those people turn around and purchase a supra after they flame them *cough*tony*cough* :big grin:

anyways, good races man, what are your next set of mods, you addict :fawk:

Bigger turbos (of course - although not sure one which ones I want just yet), FMIC, upgrade the fuel system (injectors, lines, pump) and that will pretty much do it for me. I will be happy with mid - low 11s daily driven trapping at 125-130mph or so. Give or take.

Yeah, I forgot to throw in some sort of fuel management...

Actually, it won't be TOO bad.

    Set of 6 injectors (720cc) - $600?

    Fuel pump - $300

Fuel lines/rails - $200-400? not sure about all of this.

Clutch - $600 (maybe more if I go with carbon/carbon)

    FMIC - $1500-2500

Upgraded Turbos - Here it gets tricky. I can go with TDO5 18Gs (2 for $1600) and then pay $1500-2500 for TD05 manifolds (they are expensive because they are so new) or I can go with something like a hybrid turbo(s) - $3500(18-20G compressor wheel and a TD04 exhaust outlet).

    Fuel computer - Arc-2 unit or S-AFC/VPC combo ($1000)

I have some options. I am still stuck on the turbos, though. I will spend about $3500 for the turbos give or take whatever I choose. They will flow enough to get me into the 10s, just dunno how hard I want to push my car.

Matt Monet ran 10.92 @ 129mph on 22psi (no nitrous) with the hybrid GT Pro 368 turbos ($3500). He was getting spark blowout, so he will run 27-30psi next time now that he fixed the problem. I do believe that he can run mid - low 10s with those turbos @ 3600ft. So, I MIGHT just go for them afterall. Everything else that I get will just go to support the turbos that I choose. So, it won't be quite as much as a single turbo upgrade for a supra, but it will be close. Close enough so that if you spend 10k on a supra and 10k on a VR-4, they will both run pretty damn close times in the 1/4.
