I really have no use for my Kahr CW9 now, so i want to trade it in on a .22 target pistol - something i can keep for the rest of my life.

They are set up exactly like in the pictures.

ruger 22/45 with the longest barrel you can get and adjustable sights :dunno:

  3. My dad has one of those MKII Target models. It's awesome.

One of the things i like about it is that i think it's one of the best looking pistols i've ever seen.

Get the Ruger. Better built, more accurate, and more accessories if you want to go that route.

Another vote for the Ruger, as long as you can get and definitely the model with the fluted barrel. Such a clean look! From what I hear they are a bitch to disassemble but it gets easier once you've done it a few times.

  7. The target grip on the Ruger feels so good.

I'm afraid that if i get the Ruger, i'm going to dump a lot of money in it. :o

  9. At least if you do, you'll be dumping money into the better pistol.

Don't leave out the S&W 41 or a colt woodsman, or even the hi standard. There's a lot of really great .22's out there that are quality.

S&W 41 if you want a heirloom. The Rugers are nice, but 41's are just sick.

Otherwise, a Ruger with a pac-lite upper and a dot is a fun ass plinker.

41s are also 3 times as much as the Ruger.

Buckmark. love the feel, balances great to me. The ruger didn't feel as comfortable to me. Plus with about 5 minutes and $0 the trigger is friggin unbelievable!!!

I went Buckmark as well. I like the feel better, I like the design better and its every bit as accurate as the Ruger. The trigger is great, its easier to take apart and clean.

Browning-better gun, better trigger, etc. +not made by Ruger

Ruger- wow, looks cool, almost like a Luger and I can buy a bunch of mall ninja crap for it!

Go pick them up. I found the MK2 22/45 fit my hand perfectly, but the mk3 did not, nor did the non 22/45. I havent played around with the brownings much, but the ones I held felt decent.

There is alot of difference between the grips.

I've owned both, and enjoyed both. Currently still have the Buckmark, and the only thing I don't like about it is the persishable buffer. :dunno:

Forgot to mention I carried the Ruger with me when I ran a trapline in the brackish marsh of south Louisiana for a few years, and it was reliable and durable. Also helped a number of raccoon, nutria, and possum earn their angel wings.
