Just picked one up, should have it later this week.

Can anyone point me in a direction for a good place to parts? I want to change the stock. Any thoughts?

    Poor phrasing I guess.

Picked it up = own it now. Physically get it later this week.

well, to have a nice conversation usually buy it some flowers a nice red wine, and perhaps take it out to dinner.

I kept mine stock, got a couple 30 round mags, and I think its makes a fun shooter.

    .

Mine is very loud, chunks brass 20+ feet, and shoots fire out of the barrel. It's great fun and fires every time that I pull the trigger. I can't shoot for shit past about 100 yards with it, but everything under that is as good as dead.

^These guys sell many, many parts for the mini-14. Only one that I would really consider would be the adjustable gas block.

    Thanks for the information!

This one is coming to me as a 'deal I cannot refuse.' If I were buying it for full price, I would absolutely be buying the AR instead. There is a pretty decent article that I stumbled on regarding the AR vs. Mini. I'll link it here.

Not sure who the guys are that did it, but it was a decent read.

I have one with a cheap bull-pup conversion...dad did it and gave it to me.

I have a 100rnd beta mag and 90 round drum. Its a helluva lot of fun to shoot.

I have mine in an ATI stock. It's well-made, has decent ergonomics, and an adjustable shoulder stock. It's doesn't make for a pretty combination, but it's more functional now. For $80 at the Fun Show, it's not a bad upgrade.

The Mini-14 is a great rifle. It's the American AK-47. As long as you're not using a poorly manufactured magazine, it will fire every time you pull the trigger. And at any realistic distance, it's as accurate as anything else.
