Anyone have any experience with this piece? I am seriously considering a .357 revolver, and I am slowing falling for it. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Very solid guns. Definitely worth considering.

I handled one of these yesterday, there nice. The triggers aren't too bad either. They also built like a tank which means you could feed it anything.

I've got a GP-100.. I really like it.. Like the guy said..it's built like a tank..

But.. I think Smith's have a little better double action trigger than the Rugers..

I love my GP-100. Like others have said, they're built like a brick shit-house...very solid. When I first got mine, I realized one of the wood grip inserts was fractured. I spent a total of five miutes on the phone with Ruger where I was told a new set (at no cost) would be on the way the next morning. Now that's customer service.

I have a S&W 686 with the Power Port, the thing rocks. I have fired +p+ hunting rounds through it (try it in an indoor range and you will see flames about a foot long coming out of the front and top of the gun). I have not had the trigger worked on, but it came out of the box with a very nice double action and a hair trigger single action. I've had it for about 5 years and it is a 6 shooter instead of the 7 or 8 (?) they have now.

The GP-100 is nice also and should do you good for sometime to come.
