I have an offer for my 22/45 MKIII for 280.00

Midway has the Kimber .22 1911 kits on sale for 289 and I already have a 1911 to stick one on.

What to do WMD, stick with the Ruger or flip it for the Kimber kit?

Having another gun is always nice, as you can use it as a loaner, or (in my case) when you break something doing 2am trigger jobs, you still have something to shoot the next day.

On the other hand, Having a 22 upper to your primary firearm (especially something expensive like 45) is tits because you get to shoot your primary for cheap.

Hard call. I'd prolly go with the conversion myself....

22/45 is nice since all the controls are in the same places as a 1911.

I'd buy the Ruger. I have a MK1 Standard from the early 50's that's still able to hit cans at 100 yards when I do my part. They are great guns.

I sold my Kimber .22 Match Target after getting a Ruger 22/45. Once I started shooting the 22/45 I quit shooting the Kimber. Haven't missed it at all... love my 22/45.

I've decided that if the guy that is willing to pay me 20$ more than I paid for the 22/45 brand new follows through and actually picks it up I will go with it and buy a Kimber kit. Otherwise I'll just hang onto the Ruger.
