I can use it to sync my MP3 player and to sync my home code folder with my code folder at school  Is there anything it can't do?

    rsync > * indeed.

I use it to sync a QuickBooks file every night. It's a 14mb file that gets updated daily, but thanks to the power of rsync -- it only take a few seconds to update over a dialup connection.

Mmmm.. and the ssh tunneling makes it even sweeter. I don't have to worry about sensitive data being sniffed, or otherwise.

One could always try to attack the end system in those cases... But yes, the commucation channel is pretty secure in this case

Yep, rsync over SSH is pretty secure.
