Applied for screening to go for the Royal Marine Exchange AT this summer. Failed. :wtc: Or maybe too many hardcharging junior marines around.

Royal Marine Exchange is a selective program for US Marines that allows you to do field training with the Royal Marines in Britain or Germany.

This summer it was offered as an AT for our reserve unit for combat engineers and I was excited because last summer I trained with Korean Marines. However either my packet wasn't on par or else they decided to send more senior Marines.

Alls well, Vegas Viper Increment 3 here I come!

I really appreciate the offer for help.

As to my understanding this was less informal than the actual RME program for officers and active duty (since it's only 2 weeks) hence I wasn't to concerned. I decided to give it a shot that's all. I just like to travel.

    Awesome

I've heard that MCSF units overseas routinely train with the Royal Marines.

We stayed with a combat engineer battalion and saw how they blew up stuff and how to patrol in the mountain side while they learned about how we blew up stuff. It was more of a cultural exchange and field excerise than step by step plan in engagement.
