Sorry if these are idiotic questions but I don't know and would rather not look like a fool at the gym. Thanks for any help.

So I'm looking over this and looking up the excersices at http://www.thetrainingstationinc.com/exercises.html#chest to make sure when I start I do things correctly. There are several exercises that I'm not finding in the animations and wanted some help. Those would be:

    barbell clean and press
    dumbbell lateral raises
    push presses
standing tricep extensions with barbell(I'm assuming I stand with my arms down and and lift bending at my elbows)

And how do I get over doing some of these exercises in front of people? My main concern is doing something completely wrong and hurting myself or me being that guy people talk aobut.

the clean and press is best learned from someone who knows what they're doing
you hold dumbbells at your side and lift your arms with a slight bend at the elbow to look like a T
you unrack the barbell, dip down and drive through until the barbell is locked out overhead
you hold the bar at whatever width, go down by bending your elbows and not upper arm, extend said barbell

Ouch....I don't see me trying that by myself. Anything I could do as a replacement to those?

To replace the clean & press? The press part is easy, just push a barbell over your head:

Replacing the clean is tough. You could do deadlifts or variations (SLDLs, good mornings, etc), but you won't be applying the same speed & acceleration to the bar as you would with a clean. That may not be that important though if you are not an athlete.
