    Currently in the process of knocking up a logo design for me/my new site (personal blog type shiate)

    Please ignore the colours. My initial idea for the outer ring is to have some kind of colour palette (it's a design-ish blog).

    My initials are S W for the reference. Opinions pleasy.

    Yeah, definately need to work on the colours.

    Thanks for reminding me about that. I'll be sure to check it if it makes it to the final version.

    define the inner s with a defined color and do the outside in a darker color
    or the exact opposite

    Finalised my logo. Took in to consideration above points.

    (Just a greyscale version for now - Haven't done anything for my website design yet).

    The line coming off of the "S" on the bottom is going to look shitty when you try to alter colors. You could cut off another section like you did in the top right/left, but that has been done many times especially when the whole "trend whore" phase of design was going around in the early 2000s.

    For what it is, it's simple and works, but ditch the bottom lighter grey.
