Anyone in Army ROTC? I just started today for the first time but they put me in MIS202 (aka MS2). I'm kind of lost on how to salute people, how to march, proper ettique... etc... anyone know a good place to lookup that general information? I don't want to fuck up (I probably will). There's only a handful of people I saw that were brand new starting in the middle of the semester and already some of them were prior enlisted.

Yeah I looked around a bit too. Reading some of it now. I think I'm going to have to play a lot of catch up. I'm trying to memorize all the ranks and saluting procedures and such. I think starting in the 2nd semester wasn't a great idea.

Ask your upperclassmen. Higher MS ranks are suppose to help you get acquainted with what you need to know.

BS your way through it. as you progress through your military career you'll come to realize that even people with a decade plus experience really have no clue.

i went out of my way to look up all the regs for common shit like AR670-1 and c&c and it blew my mind how wrong most people are.

Thanks. I did ask a few of them and they gave me some pointers. I went out on my first PT day today. The company I was in was called alpha company and we were about to do the ability group run. I think the instructor said to us that we need to go to our assigned billets and he said alphas to the left and bravos to the right. I assumed since I was in alpha company I would just be with the alpha group so I ran with them. I didn't know they were the cadets that were in the top of the class. I really struggled to keep up with them.

Good to know thanks. Just got my ACUs so I'm learning how to wear it too. One quick question... Does the pant legs go inside the boots or stay on the outside?

You can do either. I used the blousing straps for a while but for regular ACUs I prefer to tuck them inside the boot.

Those never really worked for me. The blousing bands are ok but I didn't like my socks showing when I sat down for some weird reason.

The flight suit has velcro at the bottom of the pants for blousing that works pretty good. Although being on the flight line and wearing no cover and having pants out and unbloused is awesome.
