How does OML really work? do they take your school, field of study, and gender normed APFT into consideration?

    For example:

Cadet A: male, goes to UCLA with a cumulative GPA of 3.5, APFT=280(male 18-21 age group), and studies Rocket Science
Cadet B: female, goes to community college with cumulative GPA of 3.5, APFT = 280 (female 18-21 age group), and studies Sociology

On paper they both have exactly the same number, but that's not true.

i'm under the impression that no, major and college make 0 difference, which kinda pisses me off cause i go to a really hard school (GaTech) and i know other kids at easy ass schools getting criminal justice majors and i'm gonna be below them

  3. Cadet A and Cadet B would look the same on paper. They don't take into account school or degree.

I majored in mechanical engineering- its a good lead in to the army corps of engineers on the civilian side- or I can stay at the co. I work for now or if I want to I can be a gold bar recruiter for up to 6 months.. Nothing is really for certain though.. I am just going to take my chances that oppourtunities will open up in the next 1.5 years

On the physical, you can get 1.50 points for varsity, intramural, or community team athletics.

I'm currently training Jiujitsu/Muay Thai at a local gym. do you think they(Army) will accept that?

  10. Seriously doubt it.

so what the heck is community team athletics?

  12. It's gotta be for school. Like intramural football, soccer, softball, etc. I got points for soccer and football. I just had this brief for like the 10th time this week. Nothing wrong with asking your cadre though maybe they can do some drug deal for you or w/e.

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

i bet my Jiujitsu/MT training is much more intense (and applicable to the military) than intramural golf/volleyball/softball/masturbation.

  14. I do BJJ and MT too dude, but we're not getting points for it haha.

they dont check to see if you did certain things :hsugh:

  17. They do at my school. And if your cadre don't and you lie then you aren't living the Army values as gay as that sounds.
