Rotator cuff/shoulder rehab

    and any tips on cuff rehab? it doesnt hurt but I can practically pop it out of place :rofl:

    So in for this. I have a micro-tear in my rotator cuff and I'm always looking for exercises to help lessen the pain and make it stronger.

    I posted up a bunch of shoulder/foam roller exercises my ART doctor has me on. They work very well.

    You fucking suck at searching. You're the same fuck who bombed out my arm injury thread. I don't know why I'm going to post this shit up for a lazy power-bottom cum queen, but here you go.



    Get a foam roll, and you should like on it with your head at the top of it, and the bottom at your butt...longitudinally so you shoulders can relax and drop below your back.
    1. arms down by side, palms up, hold 30 seconds
    2. arms like a "T" out to the side, pams up, rest hand on floor, hold 30 seconds
    3. arms like a Y ...
    4. Arms bent into "bench press" position. elbows on the floor, roll hands backward, hold 30 seconds
    5. bench press motion, moderate speed for 30 seconds
    6. arms crossed at waist (thumbs in pockets), spread arms up and overhead into a "Y" position, alternating which arm crosses in front 10x
    7. arms in bench press position, criss cross arms over chest, alternating 10x
    8. arms by your side, alternating arm backstroke motion, 10x
    9. arms like a "T" out to the side, palms up, raise arms over body and clap 10x
    10. arms by your side, palms up, squeeze shoulder blades together and reach for your heals at the same time, with back of hands on the floor 30x


    Those always make me feel great.

    If you don't like those exercises and you want something realistic, try to set 1RM on you super-wide-grip bench press, pulldowns with as wide a grip as possible and then go and try to max on your overhead press.

    That should really help your rotator cuff.

    If you have a tear it is best to have it taken care of by a doctor! I had a labrem tear and rotator cuff tear at the same time, and had surgery to repair them. Then I whent to physicaly thearpy. If you dont want to get it repaired or dont need it I would still see a physical thearpist; at least once to learn how to do the exercises properly. A few degrees of the wrong movement can really affect the way in which the exercise works. Good luck with the rehab:)

    I cracked my rotator cuff and had to have surgery to put my shoulder back in socket.

    My entire physical therapy was elastic band work.

    You can't crack a rotator cuff. Your rotator cuff is a group of muscles.

    they must be, but most likely they are bigger than you, stronger than you, better loooking than you, get more ass than you, make more money than you, and don't bitch about good advice when its given to them. If you understand how a foam roller is used then you wouldn't saying that you analbrush.

    I had a crack in whatever the bone is that I refer to as the "socket" that my shoulder slips out of all the time.

    The "C" that the shoulder goes into :dunno:

    either way...resistance bands....git 'er done son
