Yep, the man has my respect. He has ordered his company to no longer sell or service any weapons from any CA. agency.

I talked to the guys at Springfield Armory, Armalite and RRA a few weeks ago because they are facing an AWB law in Illinois that if passed, will make it illegal for either company to manufacture guns. All 3 are contemplating the same thing for any Illinois agency.

that would sure as hell get their attention.

and yah, Barrett has my respect for what he did for us in Cali (basically, before the .50 ban, every single receiver made was going to cali). And then he went and made the .416, just to piss off those that did the .50 Ban.

    Fucking awesome letter

I feel so bad for Californians, especially how their politicians blatantly lie to get their issues across

that letter is probably pretty old, most of Barretts magazine ads since they banned the 50 have included a little note stating that Barrett will not sell or service any rifles to California LE or military.

Do you truly believe california won't do something in the future to make those guns illegal?

Not like any parts of california would ever institute an all-out gun ban or anythin.....oh, right...San Francisco. It's only a matter of time before Massachusetts / California / Illinois ban all guns.

thankfully when a law is passed you cannot charge somebody for a crime that they committed before a law was against it. so technically any gun in an area with a firearms ban has been "grandfathered in" That is why any citizen with something on the assault weapons ban was not forced to surrender their rifle. It might have also led to the second revolution. Also any .50 in cali owned by a private citizen is legal in the state since it was there before the law was passed.

Didn't they ban .50 BMG ammo though, so even if you have one you can't buy ammo?

nope. .50 ammo is perfectly ok, but you cant get rifles for .50 any more. *shrugs* I suspect that all the bullshit CA gun laws are going to be tested in court soon, so I am still holding out hope for our state.

ronnie barrett seems like a real stand-up guy and a person who believes in preserving our rights and priveledges as responsible law abiding gun owners. If i had 8k layin around id buy a barrett w/ no hesitation.
Im just thankful I live in one of the most gun-friendly states in the country. Do we need assault weapons and hi-capacity magazines? probably not....but its nice having the priveldge to own them as part of a free state. :)

glad to see someone with some power, is showing some balls. Big thumbs up to him, if I had the money I'd go buy a rifle for no other reason than to support him.

not like I want one anyway :wiggle:
