Anyone use these either of these tonneau? Love the idea of being able to cover my bed but at the same time being able to roll it up to use my bed.

Roll n Lock is more expensive but having see it in person looks great.

Rollbak is less expensive and I have heard good things about it. Only negitive is that it gets hot because of no coating over the aluminum.

So anyone have either of these and can give a review? Water tight? Any problems with the roll up device? How well is it holding up?

I would look at whats reliable and what you are willing to spend. Who cares if a bedcover gets hot, how often are you touching it.

I am going to be in teh market probably this year for a bedcover, but I am going to be on a budget, I just need something to keep stuff in the back dry.

let me know how it holds up to heavy rain/snow... I've heard mixed opinions. the local reseller told me i should put stuff in rubber-made bins with those types of covers... said when it rains, water still collects in the bed.

I will do, I dont see how rain would get it, it snaps over the seams of the bed, and I have heard good reviews from what I have seeon on the F-150 board.
Funny you said local reseller and TYPES of covers.. It probably had nothing to do with him trying to sell you something more expensive
FUnny you said nothing about brand.. and I am sure your research that you did before commenting on this you of course know that the entire frame is rubber sealed around and the tarp would drain water on the outside of the seal.. Of course you did :mamoru:
As always I do my research and no one on there that I could find had anything bad to say about it.

I will take dirty truck pics tomorrow :noes:

I actually wasn't looking for one of the soft top covers. I wanted a rolling steel cover... The guy actually told me to get the cheaper over-the-rail fiberglass if I wanted water-resistance.

so he actually tried to get me to spend less money :shrugs:

Well considering this is TX where it rarely rains or snow I am happy with my purchase, I am on a budget and just needed to be able to cover the bed to throw a stroller etc back there and still have the versitility to be able to haul stuff in the bed.
I wanted one of the Roll and Lock, but other things I Would rather spend $1200 on

and Extang is very highly rated, have an awesome warrenty and makes a quality product.

over the rail fiberglass ones are too much of a hassel if you need to actually use the bed

Your reseller must sell rubermade bins becuase I just ran my bedcover through the self spray carwash and hosed a waterjet right at the seams all the way around the bedcover.. and guess what.. I drop the taillgate and maybe had a few small drops of water.
Hardly the exageration your "guy" said it was.

PICS are here.. I did clean my truck and bedcover made it through the carwash, I am really happy at the way it looks and the price i would really recommend it.
