.308 is the standard round for the AK47? Did I miss something in dum dum school?

7.62 mms equals .3 inches so I GUESS its technically correct. But I have never associated .308 to the AK,

  5. For a SEAL, that guy doesn't know much.

I love that show, but Mac can get way too dramatic when he speaks about the weapon systems or really anything in general.

I've always wondered how someone could do 10 years in the SEALs and still be such a douche.

I can't watch that show anymore. MG and I were pumped to watch it when it started, but the guy is such a douche canoe and the weapons that he shows aren't future weapons at all!

    "I'm a former navy SEAL"

"This is the .308 it is the standard round for the AK-47."

also who take 15-20 to cycle a bolt action?

the other thing that bothered me when he said that each round was loaded one at a time, that's where I think that 10-15 seconds came from, open the bolt pull out another single round from where ever then close the bolt. But don't most sniper rifles have inernal magazines?

  12. Yes, and even if you're loading them individually, a competent shooter wouldn't need anywhere 20 seconds to do it.

you've never been in the military...have you?

I am currently in the navy, and from what I have seen he seems to be the type that generally seem to excel in the military, particularly in a hardcore...no INSANE unit like the SEALs

Why not just say 7.62x39, because that round is basically synonymous with AK ammo.

    The .308 isn't x39 though. It's by 52 or 54 or something else.

I think most people automatically hear ".308" and assume ".308 Winchester" which is 7.62x51.

what is wrong with this guy?

the army still uses a lot of 'old style sniper rifles' - nothing wrong with bolt action if you hit 1st shot
