my uncle came over the other day for a family barbeque and he started talking about how he is working out now. after talking about the set up he is putting together in his garage he says out of nowhere "yeah, so the tricep is 60% of your arm :eek3: ". before i got too nauseated with the conversation i went into the other room and sat down.

he came in a few minutes later with a gripper in his hand and handed it to me and i closed it extremely easily and said "huh?" because i was expecting it to be hard to close. he said "yeah, that is one of the hardest ones to close that they make" and i started  . I asked him if he'd ever heard of CoC and he said no so i told him about it and showed him the site. The site says that the grippers you normally get in stores go up to 50lb grip and the trainer for CoC is 100lbs. at this point i was dying and then i told him about the CoC 4 and how only 6 people have closed it and it has something like 365lb grip to close it. He was kind of :o at this point and said he wanted to get some.

i kept thinking about grouch the entire conversation :naughty:

cliffs: uncle thought he was hot shit with a gripper he got from kmart and told me it was one of the hardest to close. i gave him the :eek4: and showed him CoC's website

I have the Captains of Crush grippers, #1 and #2. They are the lowest level grippers, except for the trainer. If you want to buy them, I have a #1 and #2 that I'm trying to sell.

i guess he used to be more involved in it awhile back. apparently he's been getting back into it as of late. he's the kind of guy that talks a lot of shit about things and it's really difficult to believe him about anything. that's why i thought it was so funny he brought up the grippers when i actually had some knowledge on them. it wasn't the fact that he didn't know about Coc; it was the fact that he was spouting off what he was saying as fact.
