Anybody have one? or have any experience with one?

I know they are pretty much bottom of the barrel 1911s, but I'm not in the market for $1500 guns right now... I was thinking about snagging one on the cheap just for fun. But if they are complete crap, pain in the ass, etc.... I'll pass for now.

I have one that is a great gun. I'd still be shooting it if not for the gunsmith screwup on my sight install. it's not my .22 slide host. Great gun for the money, I paid $309 OTD a few years back.

I've got some guy looking for a trade for a P22 which I have, and enjoy right now, but I'd also like a 1911

I have a full size i paid 330 for about 2 years back, I love it, I've swapped out some parts over the years for wilson combat parts to suite my preferences.

I'd say go for it if you want a 1911.

I bought DaVega one awhile back. Needed some love to run gold dots, but some polishing worked it right up. Put an STI short trigger in it, as well.

I had, and still have to talk myself out of one.

    For this reason:

Whoa, that belt clip is interesting, who sells those?

I have a fullsize RIA, and love it love it love it. If I can get some cash together, I want to get a compact one.

I'd say it's homemade, after I saw it I scoured the net looking for one. No dice. All of the 1911 clips are that pantywaist knife clip width.

You mean a belt clip for anything with a trigger? It all comes down to: Trigger covered? NO Bang....

The only 1911's I really like are Bobtails, and the only Bobtails I've seen are Commander sized, and I would want a 5".

I've heard that the RIA are at the top of the heap as far as low-end 1911s go, but 1911 purists can't seem to help wrinkling their noses at them.

    My RIA was  .

Then it got stolen. But they stole it when it was in eleventy billion pieces, and dropped 2 springs on the way out the door.

    LOL @ them

Does it go bang when you pull the trigger? check
Does it put the bullet where you aim it? check
Does it go bang reliably? check

it's similar to the old WW2 1911s and if you are a TRUE purist, that's the real 1911 design, not the bling bling models today.
custom 1911's are nothing more than status symbols as you can get a 300-500 1911 that does the job just as well.

Did he use the barrel as a hammer? Other than that, looks like it has some nice parts on it, might even be the higher end model.

I saw that. At least he's not hiding anything...not that you could with the barrel looking like that.

I think so. I like the looks of them and I'm not a fan of the wood.

I want to be just like WMD (I found a hell of a deal on a Styer M9...don't tell Sardauker...:noes::rofl:) I'm picking that one up Sunday.
