Are they decent? I always wanted a 1911 and I could get one of these for under 400$.
They even make double stack 1911s
I have a full size single stack, I'm happy with it. I'm probably past the 1,000 round mark with it, and it's jammed exactly once.
I will sell you my Springfield for $400
Do it. Rocks are great starter 1911s.
Mine did this
i'm looking for a local gunsmith to take a look at it.
Polish the feed ramp or try a different mag. I'll almost guarantee you that the problem rectifies itself then.
Oh, and they're wonderful guns. Mine jammed on the first bullet only.. just new gun bullshit really. I cleared it & tried again, and it didn't even think twice after that. Shot wonderfully.
Did you ever hunt down the RIA rep I've seen on several forums, I think Ivan is his name? It seems like they have good customer service and would fix it for you.
i havent, no. thats a good idea though. ive been too busy lately to mess with it.
i made a thread about it when it happened almost a month ago. this thread popped up about ria's so i mentioned it....
thats not "posting multiple threads about it"
Any good places to pick up RIA's online?
check the other thread here, shows the sight that has the "tactical" version for a good deal, you may be able to find a dealer local as well.
