I got a rock chip during the summer and it wasnt that bad... but i was feeling the area today and i chipped some more paint off! mind you this car was new (i bought in august).

what can i do to fill it in? (it went all the way down to the metal) and how can i prevent that area from becoming bigger?

    thanks!

this is how i do it, there are other mthods...

if I were you, id get touch up paint and fill the hole with many coats so its solidly above the natural paint surface. this can take a while.

now let it dry for a day.

now, wetsand down with 1500 very concisely until its close to the natural paint surface. now, use 2000 and get it completely flush. now just buff the area. hopefully it will be a very small (like 3" by 3" area) if you are precise with the sand paper.
