It looks friggin HUGE docked with the Alpha Fighter.
dats a huge bitch,i need to start watching robotech
no cyclone no care.
That movie "Stealth" due out this summer with Jessica Biel and Jamie Foxx is such a rip off of Macross Plus...
Do Not Photograph
But Beta Fighter's are some of the hardest figures to find back in the 80'. Not many were produced so I'm pretty stoked about Toynami releasing this.
I should have gone to AX, well next year.
I wasn't the only person thinking that when I saw the trailer! Thank god!
nope, a whole lot of use thought the same thing.
That is a big mofo, any more info? prices etc?
The Alpha retailed around $80 to $85.
I guess it's safe to say the Beta will be somewhere in the ballpark of $120 to $130. I SHIT YOU NOT.
freaking sweet. i remember i bought a model a long time ago...but it broke
but i found this little jem (will post pics after work)
goes with the trend of pricing I guess. Wonder if it'll be worth it, like will it be fully transformable, could you paint your own color scheme etc etc
I'm sure it'll be worth it seeing as how there hasn't been a Beta Fighter (Tread in Japan) made for quite some time.
It's gonna be a real hyped up item around the Robotech community.
I'm pretty sure Toynami will milk that mold for every penny. IF the initial release (Scott Bernards) sells well then we'll see versions for the other characters.
if they make it look like THAT I will Buy it
time to check my local anime store to see if they have anymore models
omg thats big
Painted Beta pics are out. Looking NICE.
More pics here.
so macross is robotech? or part of series?
i gotta start watching old school stuff
i see alot of macross on box, ive already seen zero...which one should i download
"ROBOTECH, the 85 episode epic series as you know it, was derived from three entirely separate anime shows that aired in Japan in the early 1980's. The animation was edited together and a hybrid story was added to make the three separate series mesh together as one long epic story - Robotech. It was then brought to the U.S. and the rest of the world outside of Japan by Carl Macek and Harmony Gold" (thanks to my bud lebhead)
The Macross Saga = Super Dimensional Fortress Macross
The Southern Cross = Super Dimensional Cavalry Southern Cross
The New Generation = Genesis Climber Mospeada
holy hell that looks fuckin awesome
Hol e shit, that looks Amazing..... damn, can I afford one of these bad boys?.......

posting these pics makes me want to go rewatch the entire Robotech Series all over again lol..
Must find DVDs or Torrent, prefably the latter haha.
I remember my bookshelve back in teh day, had 2 whole rows filled with the Robotech books.
I still have the ancient macross videogame on the nes/snes lol.
Mmmmm. Latest one I've seen is the Macross Zero one, brings back memories.
yeah we got them too. sold with a little chibi Mech from the series. usually 19.99 but can be fround for cheaper. i just picked up the later 2 segments ( The Southern Cross & The New Generation) since they are startign to fade away and 2 where 9.99 and 2 were 19.99 at best buy.
15 dvds with 5 eps = 75eps not 85 eps, wht happened to the 10 eps????
uh i got lost in ur last words, so u saying best buy selling a dvd for 20 bucks each?
