Unfortunately but fortunately the one 2 blocks from my house isn't closing.

It's nice that they're there when I really need them.

I'll have to check em out.. I'd like to get a 50mm 1.8 for cheap... maybe a sigma 50 1.4 if they're really cheap, I doubt they have em though...

are they announcing sales at the closing locations? Doesnt seem like that would make sense to me. Just redistribute the merchandise to the stores that are staying open would be a much better business decision.

Actually, that probably isn't a better decision. Freight is expensive, so the the revenue generated from sales at another store after you factor in packing up the closing store, shipping it someplace else and then unpacking it is less than just marking it down and selling it in place.

Also, if this is part of any sort of restructuring/bankruptcy deal then they may have to sell it in place through a liquidator or they may be under some other type of time constraints.

There's a wolf camera a block from where I live. When I checked it out, shit was still expensive as it ever was... I hear that when companies liquidate all the merchandise is first sold off to a liquidator for a set price and the liquidator then dictates the prices at the "clearance sales".
