    Try ShrinkTo5 http://www.shrinkto5.com/
    It's a lot like what DVDShrink is/was; it can rip, remove unwanted unneeded features (extra audio, subtitles whatever), and compress it down to give onto a single-layer DVDR

    For stuff with copy protection, you'll need DVD Decrpyter

    dvd decrypter and dvd shrink - magic dvd ripper seems good to: all easily found it google

    its better to download a rip from the professionals.

    thepiratebay.org is a good place to start looking.
