    silly question...

when squatting for these programs that require you to do squats 2+ times a week, is it better to go normal depth (just below parallel) than to go ass to grass?

any benefit from going ass to grass on every set of squats?

off topic but squatting heavy 2x+/week fucks my knees up, though it did bring my numbers up a lot

i mean, i'm sure it's beneficial but will it take away from quads or overall strength if i go ass to grass every time?

nah just too much work on them i think

plus i didnt warm my knees up pre squats :hsugh:

now i always warm them by running on the ellipitcal or light high rep leg extensions

I guess I've also wondered how deep to go as well.

How much more range of motion do you have from being just below parallel to ATG? Are you equating ATG with your hamstrings touching your calves? I can squat down to the point where the barbell actually contacts the lowest arms of the squat rack, though that is definitely beyond parallel.

when i say ATG i mean squatting as low as you can possibly go

if you could go lower but the lowest arms of the rack are in your way, you could put down 45's and stand on them.
