the one fucking day i leave my chalk at home, i rip the biggest calluse off my hand on a heavy set of deadlift. whats the best way to treat it? ive just got some bacitracin and one of those "sport" flex bandades on it right now (which work surprisingly well) any idea? my combination of gauze and duct tape was enough to finish my workout... but i think it might look wierd if i weat that out into the real work

I'd use a spray on sealent, nothing really ever sticks well in that area.

and I wouldn't use anything when I worked out again, just make it harder.

Superglue works just fine, it's basically the same thing as the "new skin" type products that create a clear film over the cut. My dad's a doctor and even he uses superglue for cuts if nothing else is available.

i only ripped my callouses off once. It was while at the batting cages for the first time in like 8 years. About 50 balls in 3 on each hand were ripped off and bleeding. my solution? tear my shirt into peices and wrap my hand in it, then i got back in the cages and went a few hundred more balls. it was my real life animal moment.

theres a lot of difference in picking at a calluse and ripping it entirely off. They tend to bleed a lot and be quite deep.

apparently, it was MADE to treat small gashes in the skin... i don't know how practical this is, but FLEA from red hot chili peppers uses it on his fingers whenever he's on tour and he tears 'em open playing bass (heavy strings)
