    heard about it on Stern this morning. no holds barred, bare knuckled mma in Brazil. live webcast on now, just started.

    i downloaded the last show of theirs and couldn't get into it. maybe it was the backyard feel of there ghetto cage up against a wall.

    get out of here. the way things are w/ mma now is for a reason to keep people safe. while rioheros was mildly entertaining to watch, i'd much rather see a fight with some rules put in place to keep the fighters more safe.

    I dont think there is anything really more dangerous about bare knuckle vale tudo as long as there is a ref to stop the fight and a trained medical team on site.

    I like both.....I think fighting vale tudo style is much more punishing though.......

    did you watch it? some of the stops were very late, i just dont feel it's good for the sport anymore.

    If you are a true MMA fan you would never watch or support a current event of that type. It does nothing but hurt and tarnish the sport that we all love so much.

    there are rules for a reason, the sports evolved past the whole no rules deal. the safety of the fighter is more important, rules are important.
