It lasted two days, I was going to go back the second day to try and redeem myself, but it started raining and I'm a little pussy with my gear :o

From what I could see the general public wasn't allowed anywhere that would make it possible to do so.
I did, they failed horribly

I couldn't really figure out a way to do it, they weren't going very fast and any attempt at lower shutter speeds just ended up in big blurs where the paddles where.

Needs moar zoooom. I can't find anything of real interest in any of them, although #6 definitely had potential with the facial expressions/body language. But I can understand not being able to position yourself exactly where you would like to during an organized event. I shot a triathlon for a friend recently and would have liked to have tried a few more different shots, but it just wasn't possible...at least without a press pass. :hs:

I say good try and thanks for sharing.

You mean saturation or did you want different teams?
Yeah, I think I was waaaay too worried about getting entire boats in frame and zoomed out on lots of these, definitely something to keep in mind if I ever do this again.

Lots of people with better gear than me shooting from the same areas I was, I believe they were able to make it work though :mamoru: I saw a few people down at the docking area with long lenses, but I think they were with media.

    Thanks for the comments.
