I'm going to make one of those enclosures so it will eliminate any reflections
ugly ass stone...what is that? topaz?
I'd try to keep definition between the ring and the background.
yea, but it's very difficult to do that and have a pure white bg, unless i photoshop out the bg. or i can properly expose the ring and have a grayish bg
The way to do it is to place black cards around the ring to create black outlines on the rings reflections. That'll create seperation.
Just remember, when shooting shiny/reflective objects, you're not shooting the object, you're shooting the reflections in the object.
just grabbed the wifes ring for shits and giggles...
Prolly needs to be cleaned.
How do you get it to stand up? I used wax, but used exposure and dof to make it disappear.
the black card trick is great... I forgot about that....
What I was going to say.
good idea with the card, going to try that
very nice diamond
