I don't know how many people follow the Sundance movie festival, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about 'Ring of Fire'.
It is this boxing movie that was the first movie to get pick up at the festival.

    Any scoop?

I actually brought this movie up over in "the closet". It sounds really interesting...apparently it's about a boxing match where one of the other fighters died, and it was complicated because one of the fighters was allegedly gay, and was taunted about it before the fight. Sounds interesting, got me thinking about the brutality of boxing and whether or not we're ready for an openly gay athlete in a "macho" sport.

I also heard it was picked up at the festival, by USA networks.

Just discovered they have a website up for this film now. Some cool stuff there, including the TV ads for it. Seems like they are really playing up the sexuality aspect, it will be interesting to see how much they talk about it, and if they reveal if Griffith is actually gay or not.
