so ive been on the range this week (marine). we qualified yesterday in 30mph winds, and i still got 228 (expert). however, too many people unqed and because of the winds they cancelled the range and let us requal today. well i ended up with a 244 out of a possible 250. the range high here was a 246, i was close..heh. one other person on the range today shot a 244 as well. must say i surprised myself. so how does everybody else do on the range?

Last time I went to the range, I shot experton pop-ups after being in Korea and shooting paper targets for 2 years, then the computer fucked up so they had to make everyone requal. I think the computer, and everything else was fucked up cause the second time, I had half a clip left after supported, and ran out of rounds on upsupported, and barely qualified, and I onyl saw two that I missed, other than when I ran out of rounds.

i'm not quite sure how this can be implemented..

you need at least some level of uniformity to establish a baseline

The good news for me is that our range (Cherry Point) is pretty fucked up and we might get a waiver for this fiscal year if they can't get their shit straight. Some units here are going to Camp Lejeune and using their range in the meantime.

The waiver is okay with me since I shot expert last year. :)

    Qual with them? No

Training does take place with them on though depending on the situation.
