Does anyone ride to school? I was just wondering, for the thought had crossed my mind. What is everyones thoughts on doing so? I think it'd be a good idea cuz bikes get decent gas mileage etc. So umm yeah, feel free to leave comments.

I used to ride al the time to school, even when I lived in Colorado Springs and had the cold and snow to deal with. When your options are ride and park 50 feet from the door, or drive and circle the parking lot for 30 minutes then give up, park 2 miles away and ride the bus back I think the answer is clear. Most semesters after I got the bike I could count the number of days I drove on 1 hand.

    are you in high school?
i'd be kinda hesitant if you have a nice bike, i don't trust high school kids. but then again, it'll most definately get you some high school chicks :hsugh:

I rode my Honda XL185 to high school. It didnt get messed with too much, the only thing I remember was when somebody pushed it onto the grass so they could take my parking spot with their car.

I ride to campus whenever weather will let me... Parking is a fucking bitch if you ride there on four wheels.

my school spent a ton of money on cameras, every hallway is monitored, the outside perimeter and each parking lot is also monitored, if somebody touched it theyd be caught.

im friends with all the car buffs at my school, ill enjoy having the fastest vehicle.

I dispise commuting on a bike. I'm leery of school parking lots too, easy targets for bike thieves.

I rode to school all the time, and commuted to work on mine, at least when it wasn't snowing. Parking was far superior with the bike than it could ever be with a car.
