I'm looking for gloves and am leaning towards the Alpinestars SP1 or maybe GP Plus
    [IMG]

I am concerned that the gauntlet portion may get bunched up on my jacket
or cause other odd problems. Anybody experience any problems using long
    (gauntlet)gloves with a riding jacket?

I've already got a $50,000 skin graft on my right forearm from a car crash and
would like to protect it (and my other arm) as best as possible, so I am a little
wary of the short gloves. I'm somewhat worried that with the short gloves, if
I crash my jacket sleeve may get pulled back some and expose some skin. I
have no soft tissue covering tendons/nerves down there, so that could be
bad. Is this a realistic possibility or am I just paranoid?

Also, any opinions on the A* SP1s? I've already been shredded before, I'm
willing to pay the $ to avoid doing it again.

Thanks. After talking to a local shop I'm going to try the SP-1....friend of mine
says he'll buy them from me if I decide to move up to the GP plus so I can't
    really lose.

I think I've seen the SP1's in person...they have the ring and pinky sewn together, correct?

Very nice gloves..designed to protect. I've got regular Icon gloves..will upgrade to a better glove like the SP1 when I can

from what i've seen (riders and motogp racers) i belive most people have them outside of their jacket. i used to do it inside too but it feels better to me outside now. or maybe i'm just used to it now :dunno:

gloves are supposed to be worn on the outside of the jacket/suit ... so when you slide, the sleeves have less chance of being pulling up exposing your skin

I have the A8 GP Plus gloves and they are amazing! Just a quality pair of gloves, much better than the last pair of JR I had

    Thanks for the replies.....

On another note.....it has taken 10 days for Ridegear to even put my gloves in a box
and send them out the door.....and they said they were in stock. :/

I wear mine outside of my suit unless I need a little extra ventilation. So they get tucked in on a hot day, the breeze up my arms feels nice.

If you need gear and they don't have it, you probably don't need it.

Yeah, the top two are the next two I'm going to try, not exactly happy with
    Ridegear at this point.

    Thanks for the tip.
