I think Rich has dropped a couple steps but will still take it. He really should have been able to destroy MacDonald when they were striking in his last fight, and also apparently his ankle will never be the same again.

But, I do think Franklin will still take it because he's a bad match-up for Kampmann - large, powerful, well-versed on the ground. Martin was getting tooled by McFedries until Martin took it to the ground. Franklin won't be as easy to takedown or finish on the ground.

i actually never even thought of that....its more of a co-main event. You are right though, as good as a fight this might be, its not a great main event.

he dropped a couple of notches purely due to psychological setbacks. he's still the same savage he always was though

franklin vs kappmann should be good, but they seriously need to add another huge fight to help co-main event though.

looks like a ppv poster pic is up now too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_72

Rich dominates in size and experience. I cannot see Kappman taking this at all. this is just another stepping stone that the UFC set for Rich's 'quest back to the title'.

While far from the best main event in PRIDE, it had potential to be a good fight between 2 big names. But monson is boring as shit though, and yea the fight sucked :(

i see rich winning it, but dont count kapmann out for a stepping stone fight- it will be a competitive fight, and i think kapmann while in defeat will make some new fans.

given where they're fighting, hopefully when he loses, the fans don't beat up the fighters and torch the place :o
