Just finished installing redhat 9 on my server. It's not bad so far...has much of the same looks as RH8 with a few minor cosmetic changes. I haven't had a chance to explore very much yet because i'm been working on getting my ip forwarding thingie working on my damn network. I did notice that you can do the web server in a GUI which is pretty cool.

Anybody else have a chance to try it out yet? I kinda like it so far. I was using rh8 before this, and freebsd4.5 before that.

    GUI on a server???

    Interesting.

I am prolly gonna try it out on my desktop system when I can get my hands on it. Did you get the ISO's by being a RHN member?

From what I hear, it isn't much different except for updates to some of the packages. :dunno:

and on /. they were talking about some security flaws.

personally, i never go with the 1st release, i wait for the 2nd or 3rd (depending on product).

but i like CLI better then GUI for setting up servers/routers.

i can setup cisco routers in no time using CLI, but the web interface takes me much longer....
