Reflector is a tad under 2"

Well built, nice finish, good grey color. Fits easily in your hand, although this one is probably going to be mounted to my AR

    Click tail-cap for 2 mode (high/low)

This one isnt really a light for close up but here are some comparisons. unfortunately the batteries in my 3d maglite are very low and the output was less than any of the lights so i didnt bother using it. the light spill is a lot more noticeable for close up stuff (which is to be expected)

maglite 2aa on the left vs aurora wf-600 q5 (on high) on the right

heres some night pictures. one is a longer exposure so you can see it a little better. the tree is about 60 feet tall and about 25 yards away. these were taken with a 10-22mm lens @ 10mm so the distance is basically what you'd be seeing if you were standing at the camera.

    10 second exposure

I am thoroughly impressed with this light. the fit and finish are awesome. double o-ring tail cap and single o-ring head hold it nice and tight. It doesnt feel cheap at all. they make this same light to take only 1x18650 battery and its a dollar cheaper but i got this one for the option to take 2 different batteries. dont have any 18650 batteries so dont I know how the output differs from 2x123a's.

the beam is not really for close up things since its a thrower. it keeps a tight circle but the overspill does help out for close things (within 5-6 feet). while at the gf's house last night i was lighting up the top of trees about 40 feet tall and about 35 yards away with a tight circle.

Cons: Little light spill but not bad
    Pros: Literally everything else

So you can confirm that it is an aluminum reflector and not a plastic one right? If it is I'm ordering one.

the website says it is and i really cant tell the difference. the reflector has a lip on it like its two pieces so it looks like a plastic outer shell with an aluminum inside

Ok cool. I ordered one. How long did it take to get yours? Can't wait for some beam shots.

    2 x CR123 would be 6V, not 9V. :o

Yeah, but I couldn't figure out where the typo was, because that light is typically as long as most 9Vs. I too would like to see the throw pattern comparison between all your lights.

I was thinking of getting this light or just getting a Q5 drop-in for my G2. 235 Lumens, 1.5hr runtime.

Do they make a Q5 drop in yet for the G2?

Awesome beam shots too. Now we need a comparison shot to the dereelight.
