My Powerbook really needs a fresh install of Tiger. I have a Time Machine back up but I don't want to do a full restore from it just in case something in the backup is causing my slowness.

Will I be able to pick and choose what I want from the backup once I reinstall Tiger? Or should I go through and do manual backups of my address book, documents, etc and just restore from those?

Also, Transmission. I have a lot of torrents seeding that I don't want to lose. Is there a Transmission database that I can copy so the seeds will stay? I have it set to delete the .torrent file when I open it, so I can't open the torrent to start the seed.
