Few weeks ago I read a post on here saying how to image your drive using RunTimeXML so I did it for my C system drive. Now I need to restore that image but it won't let me because it says you cannot restore to the system drive (persumabley because it's in use by Windows) Any ways around this?

    C:\ is 60GB split into 4 partitions

    thanks

You'd need a boot disk containing a special DOS-based version of the backup program, so the backup program can copy the image you made over top of the data that exists on your hard drive. I don't know anything about RunTimeXML, so I couldn't tell you where to get such a disk, but any good backup program should come with a boot disk creator somewhere in its Options or Tools or what-have-you.

Awsome thanks. Worked perfectly. I used PartPE and a RunTimeXML plugin. Took me about 10 mins to restore the drive compared normally to 1+hour reformatting and installing Windows!
